Join us for a beautiful morning of movement, rest, creativity, and connection as we gather to honour the Summer Solstice — the longest day of the year and a celebration of light, growth, energy, and expansion.
The Summer Solstice has long been seen as a powerful turning point in nature’s cycle. A time to pause, reflect, and reconnect with ourselves as the Earth reaches her fullest expression. This half-day retreat has been lovingly created to help you slow down, breathe deeply, and embrace the vibrant energy of summer through yoga, mindfulness, creativity, and community.
We begin the morning with a warming Vinyasa Flow and Breathwork practice designed to awaken the body gently and energise the mind. Through mindful movement and conscious breath, we’ll honour the returning light, inviting openness, vitality, and presence into both body and heart.
As the practice unfolds, we soften into a nourishing Restore & Yin Yoga session — creating space to release tension, quiet the nervous system, and reconnect inwardly. Expect long-held shapes, calming stillness, grounding breath, and deep rest for both body and mind.
Following our yoga practices, we’ll move into a mindful creative space where you’ll create your own beautiful summer wreath using seasonal flowers and natural foliage — a symbol of abundance, beauty, and the blooming energy of the season.
You’ll also plant your own sunflower seed to take home, representing growth, light, intention, and the gentle reminder to continue turning towards what nourishes and supports you.
Throughout the morning there will be homemade tea, cake, and nourishing snacks served in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, allowing time to connect, reflect, and simply enjoy the slower rhythm of the day.
This workshop is suitable for all levels, whether you are completely new to yoga or already have an established practice. The intention of the day is not perfection, but presence — creating space to move, breathe, restore, and celebrate the beauty of the season together.
