The Fusion Family

Lisa’s yoga journey began long before she ever imagined becoming a teacher. It was through moving mindfully, breathing deeply, and finding stillness during a painful chapter of her life that she realised yoga wasn’t just something she practised,  it was the path that held her, healed her, and ultimately transformed her. From that moment, she knew she wanted to share with others what had supported her so profoundly.

She completed her first 200-hour training in 2013, followed by a 300-hour advanced training in 2019, and most recently a second 300-hour training in Rishikesh, the birthplace of yoga. Immersing herself in the rich philosophical and traditional teachings of India deepened her understanding of the practice and refined her approach, reigniting her love of strong, steady Hatha foundations while honouring the creativity and fluidity of Vinyasa that her students know and love.

Lisa’s style continues to evolve. She doesn’t label it, as it is shaped by the wisdom of many inspirational teachers and lineages. Her classes blend grounded strength with spacious softness; sometimes strong, sometimes gentle, always rooted in intention. What remains constant is her focus on creating a safe, uplifting space where students can connect inward, breathe deeply, and move with awareness.

Driven by a long-held vision to open her own studio, Lisa first created a small, intimate space that held just ten mats. Two years later, trusting her intuition and leaning into courage, she expanded into a larger premises and Fusion Yoga Studios was born. The name “Fusion” reflects her free-spirited approach to honouring tradition while embracing creativity, weaving together elements that support the whole person.

Lisa believes yoga is for everyone, regardless of body type, background, or personality. To her, yoga extends far beyond postures; it is a philosophy and a way of living. She is passionate about sharing the essence of the practice  joy, freedom, gratitude, compassion and loves to gently thread yoga philosophy into her classes in a way that feels relatable and grounding.

Her intention is always to offer a beautiful fusion of strength, softness, energy, love, light, and healing so that her students leave feeling more connected to themselves physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Sarah’s journey with yoga began 14 years ago, when she gave birth to her son.

Shortly after his birth she was diagnosed with postpartum psychosis. She was provided care from The Beeches, Mother and baby unit in Derbyshire who introduced her to the practice of Yoga. It quickly became a life line practice for her.

Through learning yoga, meditation, mindfulness and breath work she found ways to manage her mental health and raise her beautiful son. She is a firm believer in using yoga as a tool to help people with mental health issues, just as she uses yoga to help with her own mental health.

She truly believes that yoga can be accessible for everyone and strives to stay true to the lineage of yoga. Sarah is passionate about sharing not only the physical practice of yoga, but the spiritual aspects too.

She is now a 400 hour Yoga Alliance registered Yoga Teacher, after completing her first 200 hrs in 2019 and her second in 2021. Sarah is incredibly passionate about teaching yoga as a practice both on and off the mat, and strives to create a safe community for all who are wanting to start their own yoga journey.

She believes yoga teaches us a beautiful way of navigating life’s ups and downs, helping cultivate coping strategies, emotional intelligence, peace and balance.

Masniari
NaMasYoga
Gentle Yoga & Menopause Yoga

The name NaMasYoga comes from the mixture of Namaste (greetings or salutation from the divine) and my name Masniari (the sun, warmth). Based on my own personal experience, yoga has helped me embrace change, discover my own personal inner strength, build self confidence and helped me find my inner calmer happier self. Yoga can also be a powerful tool in healing trauma. I am passionate about sharing my experience and knowledge of yoga to the local community. Yoga is for everyone, no matter what age, shape, or size. Yoga is not just about the physical practice that happens on the mat.

I offer a gentle yoga flow on Wednesday mornings at Fusion. I also run menopause yoga workshops.

Upali
Beginner's Yoga Course

I grew up in a rural village in Sri Lanka, surrounded by nature, where Ayurveda and simple living were part of daily life. My uncle taught me the traditional medicinal plants that grew around our village.

I later trained in Panchakarma and Abhyanga with an Ayurvedic doctor in Dambulla and completed a Yoga Alliance–certified Hatha Yoga Teacher Training. I have also studied Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow, Kundalini and more. My work is inspired by my Sri Lankan roots, Ayurveda, and Theravada Buddhist philosophy.

Since 2016, I have shared my offerings in the UK through yoga classes, Ayurvedic treatments and wellbeing retreats. My classes begin with a deep vibrational mantra, move into a cleansing and calming practice, and end with the soothing sound of the bamboo flute.

Ayurveda, the “science of life,” is an ancient healing system focused on preserving health and restoring balance in the body.
