As this year draws to a close, I want to pause and offer my heartfelt thanks to each of you.
The past twelve months have brought deep challenge, uncertainty, and personal change. Through it all, your kindness, patience, and understanding have been a steady source of strength. The way you’ve continued to show up with care, presence, and compassion has meant more to me than words can express.
At the end of October, after a long and difficult journey, I received a diagnosis of two rare tumours deep within my abdomen, known as paragangliomas. It has since been confirmed that I will be undergoing major surgery on 15th January. With this in mind, my final day teaching will be 19th December, as I step back to focus fully on rest and healing.
While this chapter asks me to pause and turn inward, it also brings me a deep sense of peace knowing that the space we’ve built together will continue to be held with care and intention.
A Gentle Transition
From 5th January 2026, the beautiful soul Sam who many of you already know and have practised with will be stepping in to take over.
Sam completed her 200-hour teacher training at Fusion Yoga School and teaches both Vinyasa and Yin with a calm, thoughtful, and gently creative approach. Her classes weave together mindful movement, breath, meditation, and yoga philosophy, supporting both physical strength and inner balance.
After more than 20 years in a demanding finance career, Sam understands first-hand the effects of stress and nearing burnout. Yoga became a deeply transformative practice in her own life helping her rediscover steadiness, confidence, and peace of mind. This lived experience shapes the compassionate way she holds the space.
Sam’s classes are welcoming and supportive, accessible for beginners while still offering depth for more experienced students. She encourages listening to the body, moving with awareness, and staying connected to the breath creating a space where students feel safe, grounded, and empowered, both on and off the mat.
Classes will continue just as they are, with the same rhythm, structure, and heart. The only small practical change is that payments will transition over to Sam, so you may be asked to re-enter your banking details.
If you need to get in touch, Sam can be reached at [email protected] or via WhatsApp on 07792 762646.
Looking Ahead at The Mews, Church Street in 2026
There are also some quietly exciting things unfolding within Seven Church Street – The Mews.
In 2026, the ground floor of The Mews will be gently brought to life by Brewed Awakening from Church Street, who are looking forward to welcoming you into their new daytime café. As evening arrives, the space will soften into an intimate, atmospheric wine bar — a place to slow down, connect, and unwind.
The courtyard will also be reimagined with soft lighting and seasonal florals, creating a welcoming outdoor space to enjoy throughout the year. This new chapter adds another layer to The Muse — offering a place to pause beyond the mat, whether that’s over a quiet coffee during the day or a glass of wine at the weekend.
Brewed Awakening are excited to become part of life at The Mews, and it feels like a beautiful way for the community here to continue growing and connecting.
We’re also delighted to share that Dexter’s Doggy Daycare will be opening in the new year.
Created by dog lovers, for dog lovers, Dexter’s will be a trusted, licensed, and highly personal daycare service where every dog is treated like family. The intention is to offer a safe, enriching, and joyful environment where dogs can spend the day socialising, exploring secure indoor spaces, and enjoying plenty of movement, rest, and companionship while their humans are out.
The day will flow much like childcare — dogs are dropped off in the morning and collected at the end of the day feeling happy, relaxed, and content.
What makes Dexter’s special is the care taken in every detail:
- 🐾 A personal and professional approach — no dog is ever just a number. Each one is known, cared for, and welcomed with heart.
- 🐾 Fully licensed and insured, with the highest standards in place before opening, so owners can feel complete peace of mind.
- 🐾 Calm yet stimulating days, balancing play, walks, social time, and rest within a secure, nurturing environment.
It feels like a natural and joyful addition to The Mews — another offering rooted in care, connection, and wellbeing, for both humans and their four-legged companions.
Before I close, I want to share a small practical note. Any passes will be extended to cover the two weeks that we are closed, so nothing is lost during this pause.
I hope to pop in and see you all at some point in the New Year, but in the meantime, I leave you in the most beautiful and capable hands. I truly couldn’t have asked for a more aligned, compassionate person to hold the space.
I can’t thank you enough for the love, care, and support you have shown me not just this year, but throughout the journey we’ve shared. Thank you, from the deepest place, for your trust, compassion, and understanding. This community has been one of the greatest gifts of my life, and I carry each of you with me as I step into this next chapter of healing.
With love and gratitude,
Sarah 🤍
